Starchild Labs LLC develops educational publications, curricula, and resources focused on human-centered, ethical digital engagement and responsible AI interaction.
These terms apply to purchases made directly from Starchild Labs, including downloadable digital publications and related educational materials.
Terms of Service
By purchasing or accessing a product from Starchild Labs, you agree to use the product in accordance with these terms and any product-specific license presented at checkout.
Starchild Labs publications are provided for educational and informational purposes. They are not medical, legal, financial, psychological, or other professional services, and they are not intended to replace qualified professional advice.
You are responsible for how you interpret, apply, or act upon the information contained in our publications and resources.
We may update these Terms, Privacy & Purchase Policies from time to time. The version in effect at the time of purchase will govern that transaction unless otherwise required by law.
Digital Product License
Unless otherwise stated, purchase of a digital Starchild Labs publication grants the purchaser a non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal use.
You may:
download and retain your purchased copy;
view it on your personal devices;
make reasonable personal backup copies;
print portions or the complete publication for your own personal use.
You may not, without prior written permission from Starchild Labs:
redistribute or publicly share the digital file;
upload the file to shared drives, public repositories, websites, file-sharing services, or similar systems;
resell, sublicense, rent, or commercially redistribute the publication;
reproduce copies for a classroom, organization, institution, workshop, cohort, or other group use under a single-user purchase;
remove or alter copyright, attribution, licensing, or ownership notices.
Institutional reproduction and group-use rights are available separately through Starchild Labs institutional licensing.
Purchase of a digital edition does not transfer copyright or ownership of the underlying intellectual property.
Refund Policy
Because digital publications are delivered electronically and cannot meaningfully be “returned” once delivered, digital-product purchases are generally considered final after successful delivery or download.
However, Starchild Labs will review refund requests involving situations such as:
duplicate purchases;
technical failure preventing reasonable access to the purchased file;
incorrect product delivery;
other circumstances where a refund is required by applicable law.
Where purchases are processed through Stripe Managed Payments, transaction support and refund handling may also be provided by Stripe or Link. Stripe currently acts as merchant of record for Managed Payments transactions and may handle customer transaction support and refund requests on behalf of sellers. Stripe Support
Nothing in this policy limits any refund or consumer right that cannot legally be waived.

Payments and Taxes
Direct digital purchases may be processed through third-party payment providers, including Stripe Managed Payments.
When Stripe Managed Payments is used, Stripe’s Managed Payments entity acts as the merchant of record for the transaction and handles payment processing, certain transaction support, and applicable indirect-tax calculation and remittance in supported jurisdictions. Stripe
Your bank or card statement may therefore reference Stripe, Link, Sold through Link, or a similar Stripe-associated descriptor together with Starchild Labs. Prices displayed at checkout may be subject to applicable sales tax, VAT, GST, currency conversion, or other location-dependent charges.
Privacy Policy
Starchild Labs collects only the information reasonably necessary to operate its website, respond to inquiries, provide purchased materials, maintain business records, and support customers.
Depending on how you interact with us, this information may include:
your name;
email address;
organization or affiliation, when voluntarily provided;
information contained in messages or support requests;
purchase and transaction information made available to us by our payment provider;
technical information ordinarily generated through website use.
Starchild Labs does not intentionally collect or store full payment-card details through its website. Payment information is handled by the applicable payment provider.
When Stripe is used, Stripe may independently collect and process payment, identity, billing, tax, fraud-prevention, and transaction information under its own privacy practices. How We Use Information
We may use information you provide to:
fulfill purchases and provide customer support;
respond to review-copy, licensing, partnership, or general inquiries;
maintain required financial and business records;
protect the security and integrity of our systems and transactions;
comply with legal obligations;
send marketing communications only where you have chosen to receive them.
We do not sell personal information to advertisers.
Email and Marketing Communications
Purchasing a Starchild Labs product does not automatically enroll you in promotional email communications unless you separately provide consent where required.
If you opt in to marketing communications, you may unsubscribe at any time using the instructions included in those messages.
Operational messages relating to purchases, downloads, account activity, support, or transaction issues may still be sent when necessary to provide the service you requested.
Third-Party Services
Our website and checkout process may rely on third-party services for functions such as:
payment processing;
tax handling;

website hosting;
email delivery;
analytics;
digital-file delivery.
Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
Starchild Labs is not responsible for the independent privacy or security practices of third-party services, but we aim to use established providers appropriate to the services they perform.
Educational and Institutional Use
A standard retail or digital purchase is intended for individual use unless the product specifically states otherwise.
Schools, libraries, nonprofits, educational programs, companies, workshops, and other organizations seeking reproduction, group distribution, classroom use, or locally printed copies should contact Starchild Labs regarding institutional licensing.
Authorization must be obtained before reproducing or distributing a purchased digital file for organizational use.
Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise indicated, the text, organization, original educational frameworks, illustrations, design elements, branding, and other protectable materials published by Starchild Labs are owned or lawfully controlled by Starchild Labs LLC or their respective rights holders.
Nothing in a purchase grants permission to use Starchild Labs names, logos, trademarks, branding, or protected content for commercial, promotional, derivative, or redistributive purposes except as expressly authorized.
