Local-Print Access for Schools,
Libraries & Organizations

Digital Engagement for Everyone: A Practical Guide to Ethical AI Interaction is available through institutional local-print licensing for schools, colleges, libraries, nonprofits, workforce programs, and other educational organizations.

The program is designed for organizations that want to provide individual copies of the guide to students, faculty, staff, employees, volunteers, or program participants without requiring the purchase of full-price retail editions for every recipient. Approved institutions may produce authorized copies through their own internal print facilities or through a qualified external printer.

HOW IT WORKS

Organizations select an anticipated quantity and intended use, then request authorization from Starchild Labs. Once approved and licensed, the institution may produce the authorized number of copies using an internal or external printer that meets the required production standards.

Each licensed copy is intended to become the recipient’s personal educational resource. Recipients may keep their copies after completing the applicable course, workshop, program, or activity. New participants or future cohorts require newly authorized copies.

INSTITUTIONAL LICENSE PRICING

Authorized Quantity | License Fee Per Copy
50 – 499 | $10.00
500 – 999 | $9.00
1,000 – 2,499 | $8.00
2,500 – 4,999 | $6.50
5,000+ | $5.00

Minimum license: 50 copies

Authorized quantities are cumulative during the 12-month license term. As additional copies are licensed, new quantities receive the applicable cumulative-volume rate. Previously completed invoices remain unchanged.

FLEXIBLE IMPLEMENTATION

Institutional licensing is designed to work with programs organizations already have in place. The guide may be incorporated into existing courses, advisory or enrichment periods, AI-literacy or digital-citizenship programs, student-success initiatives, library programming, faculty or staff development, workshops, and guided or independent study.

A new standalone course is not required. Institutions retain responsibility for determining how the material fits their curriculum, policies, participants, and educational objectives.

PRINTING & QUALITY STANDARDS

Institutions may use an internal print facility or a qualified external printer.

Full-color interior reproduction is preferred but is not required. Minimum production standards apply to paper, covers, binding, image reproduction, attribution, and overall print quality. Certain designated illustrations must remain in color.

Before the first full production run using a particular production configuration, one physical proof copy must be submitted to Starchild Labs for approval.

WHAT THE LICENSE ALLOWS

Licensed institutions may produce the authorized number of physical copies, distribute those copies to approved program participants, and allow recipients to retain their individual copies permanently.

The license does not transfer copyright, ownership, publication rights, or other intellectual-property rights in the guide. Licensed copies may not be resold, commercially redistributed, materially altered, or presented as publications of the licensing institution.
